Call us anytime to receive an estimate prior to your exam. We encourage the patient to shop around and see how pleasantly surprised they are when they learn that we can save them several hundred dollars on their out-of-pocket expenses due to our low "Allowable Amounts" on most private insurance. We want the patient to know what they may expect to pay by giving them an estimate before they get their MRI. Read more about our MRIs.
Examples of two Insurance Allowable Amount Cost Comparisons:
-
A Lumbar cost on the Region's Largest Private Insurance Company with Auburn, Decatur, or Fort Wayne Open MRI is approximately: $405 (includes Read)
By Comparison to Local Hospitals:
Hospital A = $950 (read not included)
Hospital B = $1240 (read not included)
Hospital C = $1350 (read not included) -
A Lumbar cost on another very large private insurance company with Auburn, Decatur, or Fort Wayne Open MRI is: $450 (includes Read)
By Comparison to Local Hospitals:
Hospital A = $1120 (read not included)
Hospital B = $1783 (read not included)
Hospital C = $2326 (read not included)
To Summarize: Most patients assume that their out-of-pocket insurance will be the same wherever they go but in reality hospitals charge much more for most private insurance and patients unknowingly miss out on the cash savings by not using us. Also, patients need to understand that regardless of how high their deductible, the most we can charge them is the set price of our low allowable amount. For example, if our allowable amount with an insurance company is only $450 then the patient needs to understand that $450 is the most that will come out of their pocket, no matter how high their deductible.
