Open MRI
We are providing comfortable open MRI's and MRA's for just about any type of standard exam. Please call us to confirm your needs. MRI's deliver detailed images of soft tissue or bone and are ordered to diagnose various problems occurring within the body.
Same Day Appointments
We provide same day appointments in most cases. We have a strong belief that healthcare should not have to wait. We are committed to this pledge and will do anything we can to work with the patient's sensitive schedule.
Same & Next Day Reports
Another service we take very seriously is providing a report back to your doctor as soon as possible. Most times this is possible within the first few hours after the patient is scanned. If the patient has appointment times after 2:00 PM then it will most likely be faxed to your doctor the following morning with the exception being Friday or Saturday where you should expect the report on Monday morning.
Pre-certification
We will gladly pre-certify your insurance for you when possible. Some insurance companies require that the doctor pre-certs. If so, you will find us listed under Community Open MRI.
Patient Waiting Lobby
Our lobby area offers patients and guests a warm hospitable environment with refreshments, television, and reading materials.
Payment Methods
Our cash rates for any MRI / MRA are listed below:
$500.00 Non-Contrast (most MRIs are ordered this way) $600.00 Contrast
- This cash rate is based on full payment received at the time of service.
- If the patient cannot pay in full at time of service and would like to be placed on a payment plan, $50.00 will be added to the cost of the exam. A Non-Contrast exam would then be $550.00 & Contrast exam would be $650.00. If the patient chooses the payment plan option, we do require half down ($275.00 for non-contrast and $325.00 for contrast) at the time of the exam and will schedule regular payments for the balance.
- All costs include the radiology reading (interpretation).
We are offering a shuttle service in and around the Decatur area within about a 60 mile radius for those who qualify. Please call us to see if you qualify. This service is an extension of our office. When a patient is picked up it is as if the office is coming right to their front door. The patient should be given a clipboard with information sheets to fill out and can do so and have everything filled out by the time they arrive. This helps to eliminate further waiting when they arrive.
Promotions
Bring in a coupon and receive a $10.00 gift card to choose between Applebee's, Cracker Barrel, Marathon gas, or Back 40 Restaurant. The coupon MUST be redeemed at Decatur Open MRI after completion of the exam. Limitations include: coupon is only good for any private insurance or non-insured patients; cannot be used with shuttle service; and limit one coupon per patient.
Radiology Services
We are currently using the services of two very fine radiology groups.
For most of our patients we will tele-rad our images to Meridian, based in Chicago. This is a highly specialized group where the doctor's sub-specialty is utilized. Meridian has their own transcription group which aids in faster response times and allows us to send reports back to the referring doctor within just a few hours after the patient is scanned in most cases and no later than 24 hrs with the exception of Friday afternoons and Saturdays. Those patients should expect the report back to their referring doctor the following Monday.
For many of our Ohio based doctors we are using the services of Pro-Rad. This is a well respected group of radiologists based in Bryan, Ohio.
